The products displayed in the website (photographs of the products) can vary in colour and shine/shades in reality. Therefore, it is always advisable to check with Essential Furniture physically or via email/phone.
Payments can be made by Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Debit cards which having a Visa or MasterCard logo, PayPal, Afterpay, Zip, Humm and Latitude subject to their respective terms. Discounts will not be applicable when payments are made via Afterpay, Zip, Humm and Latitude.
Once an order has been placed by a customer it will be a binding agreement between the customer and the Essential Furniture under the Australian Law.
Customers acknowledge that all intellectual property remain with Essential Furniture and knowingly will not breach Intellectual Property Law.
If a customer cancel a pre order on any condition after 48 hours, Essential Furniture has the right to withhold 30% from the entire price of the product. But no cancellation for sale products, if so, no refund.
The customer cannot cancel an Order in any circumstance if the products have been shipped.
Until the date and time of delivery the risk and title of the goods remain with Essential Furniture
Stock availability can be affected by delays pertaining to suppliers, therefore, customers agree and understand that certain products will be out of stock or unavailable from time to time.
Essential furniture has the sole liberty to withdraw or suspend from sale any products displayed in any publication any time without notice to the customer.
Essential furniture may also cancel an Order any time before delivery: if the suppliers are unable to supply the products under an Order; due to any events beyond the control of Essential Furniture which results in not supplying products in a reasonable time; if the products were misdescribed at the time of accepting the customer order.
At the time of cancellation of an order by Essential Furniture, Essential Furniture will refund notifying the customer the entire amount unless otherwise an amount paid in respect of the particular Order in non – refundable as in the case of a deposit for Special Orders.
Except to the extent required by Australian Consumer Law, Essential Furniture will not be liable to the customer or to any other party for any losses incurred due to the unavailability of the products at any time, whether in contract or negligence.
No refund or exchange on products on clearance and discount.
Due to packaging the dent marks visible on the leather will vanish in few weeks. Essential furniture products are mostly handmade, therefore, minor overdone stitches on leather, subtle fissures and dents on wood, unnoticeable scratches on glass will not be treated as damages or defect; and will not be covered under warranty or a reason to reduce price.
Furniture accessories and mattresses are displayed for display purposes only, therefore, not included in the purchase unless otherwise specifically mentioned.
Delivery charges and handling charges are applicable separately from the purchase price.
The customer need to be present at Essential Furniture’s at the time of the inception of the delivery from Essential Furniture shops or warehouses in order to identify any damages or defects. And once the product is loaded from the delivery docket for delivery no claims can be made for damages and defects.
At the time of delivery to load and unload if man labour is needed the customer has to pay for the man labour because furniture is heavy. But, if the customer decide to carry out the loading and unloading no payment for labour is needed.
If the customer provided delivery address is incorrect, the sole liability is on the customer and not on Essential Furniture which can incur additional payments.
If the delivery date is delayed from the customer’s end then there will be a storage penalty of 10% on the customer.
Quoted delivery dates can vary due to circumstances beyond the control of Essential Furniture. It will take 12 to 18 weeks for the delivery of customised products and pre order products. However, once we receive the shipment will notify the customer to collect it within 10 days to avoid the 10% storage penalty.
Once a product is loaded for delivery to a customer from Essential Furniture, liability lies with the customer while risk and title moves to the customer.
All beds have 10 year structural warranty and 1 year material warranty but 20% percent diminishes gradually with time. Thus, a third party extended warranty can be purchased at a cost for five years on fabric and artificial leather.
All sofas have 5 year structural warranty and 1 year material warranty but 20% percent diminishes gradually with time. Thus, a third party extended warranty can be purchased at a cost for five years on fabric and artificial leather.
If Essential Furniture products get damaged due to inappropriate maintenance after purchase, the warranty is not applicable. Please refer the furniture care and handling guide provided by the third party warranty provider.
